Directions

Kvednaflåt's address is Møgedalsveien 394, Helleland, Rogaland.

From the Stavanger area it takes about 1 hour to reach Kvednaflåt by car (unless you leave at 16:00 on a Friday when the queueing Forus-Sandnes will delay you). From Egersund it takes approximately 20 minutes.

In winter it is recommended to take along snow chains, as this road may not get snowploughed during the weekend. The last part of the drive is along a windy track, which accomodates cars minibusses and tractors without a problem, but despite cutting down a dozen trees along the track it seriously challenged the excellent driver of the one large tourist bus to attempt it (we hope it will be the last attempt). By the main house there is enough parking for 6 minibuses, with further designated parking along 30 metres away. Please DO park in the designated area - do NOT park on the lawns or white gravel area as they do not withstand the weight of vehicles.

- Take the E39 towards Kristiansand (from Stavanger, about 45 minutes). Soon after the road from Egersund [44] joins the E39, you will pass "Ben's Kafé og Motell" on the right hand side. Drive 1.5 km further until the road crosses the river.

- In Helleland 50 m after the E39 crosses the river take a right, direction Eia, over the railwaybridge. (Picture taken on E39 from Stavanger/Egersund. Straight ahead: direction Kristiansand.)

- Follow the road 800m to a Y junction. Take the right branch up the hill towards Drange. Follow the road about 2 km to a T junction.

- At the T junction turn right into Møgedalsveien. Follow Møgedalsveien for 4.5 km, along the farmland, up the hill, and along Møgedalsvatnet into the next valley, avoiding sheep on the road.

- Drive through the first farm, and in the second farm take the gravel track to the left (signposted Kvednaflåt). There is lots of parking near the main house and more further down the road.
